Nordic Games and Uber Entertainment have announced a partnership for the release of the upcoming strategy game Planetary Annihilation. This “non-exclusive” partnership will allow Uber’s new game to come to major retailers. It has already released on the Steam in early access, though no release date has yet been given. The team was pushing for this December, but changed the release date to “when it’s done”.
Nordic is a relatively new publisher, who made waves when they purchased the rights to Darksiders, Red Faction, Titan Quest and MX vs ATV from THQ during it’s bankruptcy auction. Planetary Annihilation may be the the test run for the publisher when it comes to selling to major US retailers (though, that’s pure speculation).
