Alien Isolation will run at 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4, according to Creative Assembly’s Gary Napper. “That’s actually not something I get that into, because we build it on one central engine and then kick it out to different versions,” Napper told OXM. “So when I think about working on the game it’s almost platform agnostic because I only think about the differences between platforms and the different mechanics we can use like the light on the PS4 pad and the stuff with Kinect 2.0.”
Napper went on to say that frame-rate would also be comparable across each console, though he did not confirm if it would run at either 30fps or 60fps. Naturally, the PC version can look much better, depending on your gaming rig, Napper said. Though he didn’t confirm it, we can also assume the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will look worse then next-gen consoles. It’s interesting to hear Napper mention doing something with Kinect 2.0, though the game’s official twitter said they have nothing to announce right now.
