Marty O’Donnell suing Bungie over unpaid benefits

H3E3_Bnet_medium_ST 024Long time composer for Bungie studios, Marty O’Donnell is suing his former employer for unpaid vacation time, paid time off, and other benefits.  O’Donnell is specifically suing Bungie CEO Harold Ryan for double the damages he is owed.  It may seem odd that O’Donnell would be able to sue for these, but Bungie has a policy to pay employees accrued but unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits. The suit alleges that Ryan and Bungie agreed to pay, but have not.

O’Donnell’s lawsuit was filed on May 1st, and Bungie replied to it on May 27th, denying the allegations.  As you may know, O’Donnell was fired from Bungie on April 11th.  O’Donnell says that the firing was “without cause”, and Bungie has yet to make a public statement about the cause of the firing.  We will keep you updated on any further actions in this lawsuit.
