EA has closed long standing game studio Mythic Entertainment today. Mythic opened in 1995, releasing many games including Warhammer Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and the recent reviled mobile reboot of Dungeon Keeper. The movement to mobile occurred after Warhammer Online was not nearly as successful as expected for both EA and Mythic.
EA told Kotaku the following “We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.”
