Microsoft is bringing it’s Games with Gold program to the Xbox One this June, with two titles being given to user each month, with a twist. Games with Gold on Xbox One will now work like PlayStation Plus, where you must be subscribed to the service in order to keep playing the games. No announcement was made about this being the case of Xbox 360 games, so assume those remain yours.
Starting on June 1st, Xbox Live Gold users on Xbox One will receive Halo: Spartan Assault, the top down shooter from Vanguard Games and 343 Industries, and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood from developer Press Play. The program will also continue on the Xbox 360, with Dark Souls and Charlie Murder coming to Gold users for free during June, as well as Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. The third game is being included from Microsoft as a thank you for helping them improve the program.
