Today Nintendo announced a remake of Pokemon’s third generation is coming to the 3DS. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be coming to the 3DS this November, and mark the first return to the Hoenn region since the Game Boy Advanced’s Pokemone Emerald. No gameplay was shown, but if the remakes of Red, Blue, Silver and Gold are any indication, expect these to be full 3D, like Pokemon X & Y.
No other news was given about the games, but it’s safe to expect more information on them at E3 this year. Nintendo’s planned livestream for E3 will be a pre-recorded event, instead of a traditional press conference, but will still feature much of the same content, like new, reveals and gameplay demos. This move to stick with what works is not new for Nintendo, but it more necessary now in the face of the company’s third consecutive yearly loss.
