EA Sports announced that NHL 15 will be coming this Fall to the Xbox One, PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360. The new game will be developed by longtime series developer EA Canada, and will feature a major overhaul of it’s presentation. NHL 15 will feature a “new NBC Sports Game Day Presentation,” with commentary from Eddie Olczy and Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, and TSN’s Ray Ferraro as an “ice level” reporters.
This new entry will run on EA’s new Ignite engine, which has previously been used for Madden 25 and NBA Live on next-gen consoles. On top of that EA will build on their already stellar collision physic system and add in “real-world physics (that) affects every player through every on-ice collision with the new 12 Player NHL Collision Physics.” The game will also have 9,000 unique crowd models on next-gen consoles. No gameplay was shown, but I would certainly expect some at E3. In the mean time, their a vote for the game’s cover athlete over on NHL 15’s official site, so head over now to cast your vote.
