Todd Stashwick no longer involved with Uncharted PS4

Actor and writer Todd Stashwick has revealed he is no longer involved in the next installment of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted franchise.  Speaking to IGN, Stashwick said “They chose to recast my role.”  No other information was given, but this departure is not the first.  Game Director on Uncharted 4 Justin Richmond left for a job at Riot, Art Director on The Last of Us, Nate Wells, joined Giant Sparrow (developer behind The Unfinished Swan), and Uncharted’s creative director Amy Hennig left the studio in March.

Hennig’s departure may be the catalyst for Stashwick’s recasting, as he will now be co-writing Visceral’s next Star Wars title with it’s new creative director Amy Hennig.  Could his joining the project be the reason for his recasting?  Or is the entire project being “reset” under the direction of Neil Druckman and Bruce Straley?  Honestly, all of this is just speculation at this point, but I’m sure we’ll learn more in the next few months (and hopefully see some gameplay at E3).
