In a tweet, Respawn announced that private matches, and a litany of other bug fixes are coming to Titanfall today. Private Matches will be in beta for this time period, but be relatively fully featured. Players can start a lobby and select any game mode or map to play on, though their will currently be no “party leader” meaning any player can change the option. This could certainly lead to problems, but Respawn says they plan on adding the feature later. As expected, no progress is awarded in private matches.
Other changes to the game come in the form of bug fixes and tweaks to the game’s challenges and weapons. The 40mm’s magazine is being reduced to 12, as it’s default of 20 was making it too powerful. The Quad Rocket’s capacity will be upped to five rockets per magazine now, hoping to put it in line with the other weapons. The Gooser challenge’s final level is becoming easier for gamer. Previously it was set to 50 kills of enemies ejecting from titans, now it will be tremendously dropped, all the way down to five. You can read the full patch notes on Titanfall’s website. If you haven’t played Titanfall, you really should. It’s one of the finest multiplayer games in a long time. In my review, I called it one of the best multiplayer shooters in years.
