Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed Unity, releases trailer

Two days ago, quite a few in-game screenshots for a reportedly next-gen only Assassin’s Creed game were leaked.  It appears that those screenshots were legit, as today, Ubisoft confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed Unity, and released the above trailer.  The trailer is composed entirely of in-engine footage, so we can really see just how good the game will look on next-gen.

Today’s news basically confirms the long rumored news that there will be two Assassin’s Creed games released this year, one for next-gen and one for current-gen.  When we’ll see the current-gen version is anyone’s guess, but I’m thinking toward E3 is a solid bet.  I’m betting that in the coming weeks we will also see a new CG trailer for Unity, as has become Assassin’s Creed tradition.  So what do you think of Unity?  Excited about it’s location?  Think the two games in one year is milking it?  Let me know in the comments!
