Guerrilla Games will release the first of it’s multiplayer expansions for Killzone Shadow Fall in April. The largest new addition is an all new class: The Insurgent. Insurgents only start the match with a pistol, but can steal weapons and abilities from fallen foes. He also has the hack ability that allows players to change enemy ground automata into friendlies.
Each of the current classes will will get three new abilities. The E-pulse emitter prevents enemies from laying ground automata. Tactical Echo emitter send out a Tactical Echo from a fixed location making the area hard to infiltrate by hidden enemy units. Finally, the Guard Drone gives the assault a stationary ground drone that guards one area.
Three new weapons are available as a part of the pack: The M82, the much loved assault rifle from Killzone 2 and 3, L512 SMG Pistol, an automatic pistol, and an all new sniper rifle, the Sta14 Rifle. An Elite Mode has been added to Killzone’s singleplayer, which sets the difficulty to hard, and gives you only three lives for the entire campaign. Buyers of the pack will also receive one new OWL skin, three spotlight moves, and one voice-over pack for both Helghan and Vektan battle chatter. Their will of course be new trophies for the pack as well, and hopefully at least a Gold trophy for completing the game on Elite.
The pack will cost $9.99 or is available as a part of Killzone: Shadow Fall’s season pass, which costs $19.99. Killzone’s three multiplayer map packs are free, with the first being available on PSN right now for free. It features two maps: The Cruiser, and The Hanger. For those who haven’t tried Killzone Shadow Fall yet, it’s multiplayer is free on PSN for the next week, and is available at a discounted $39.99 price on Amazon.
