Titanfall’s beta has begun, andit has been an incredibly popular event, with upwards of 50,000 viewers of the game on twitch, and the thousands playing it on both PC and Xbox One. On Friday, when the beta opened, the servers were hammered, and many (inludiing myself) couldn’t connect. Respawn and Microsoft have since rectified the issues, but plan on giving back to make up for the problems.
On Twitter today, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella, wrote “We are going to extend at least a day, to make up for the down time.” Zampella also announced that the Beta is going to become open to everyone, not just those who sent in for a code. “Ok, just heard from @jonshiring. His words are ‘Let’s break it’, so the plan is to make the beta fully open and have you max stress it!”
Xbox’s Major Nelson has detailed instructions on how Xbox One owners will be able to download the Beta. You just have to go under New Game Demos, and is available now for all Xbox One owners. It will also be open for all PC gamers at some point today. I’ve beenable to play a few matches thus far, and have been loving it. I’ll give you folks my full impressions of the beta later today. For now, go play it yourself if you have an Xbox One, or PC that can run it. Trust me when I say the gameplay speaks for itself.
