As most of you know, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks play tomorrow in the Super Bowl. It’s been argued for nearly every minute of the last two weeks on ESPN about who would win, and Madden has stepped up to offer it’s own prediction. Each year, EA Sports does a simulation of the Super Bowl in the latest iteration of Madden, and this year they are predicting that Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos will win the Super Bowl.
Madden is predicting a wild ride, with the Seahawks gaining the advantage during the first half courtesy of an interception from CB Richard Sherman. The Broncos made a comeback during the second half though, taking the lead 28-20. The Seahawks marched down the field and scored though, and completed the two point conversion to take it to OT. The Broncos held the Seahawks to no score on their opening drive, and were able to win the game on a kick from Matt Praeter for a 31-28 win.
How accurate is Madden? Well they’ve gotten it really close during the last ten years, correctly predicting 8 out 10 Super Bowls (But they were wrong about MY PACKERS!!!). The odds are certainly in Denver’s favor though, as even Vegas has them as favorites. Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl? Let me know in the comments below!
