Report: Killer Instinct developer working on Sci-fi action shooter

Killer Insinct has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the Xbox One launch, and it looks like developer Double Helix has more games in the pipe besides it’s upcoming Strider game for Sega.  According to a LinkedIn profile of Allen Will, senior visual effects artist at Double Helix, the team has an Unannounced Action Shooter in the pipeline.  The profile was uncovered by NeoGaf user SteveRulez, who posted Will’s description of his work on NeoGaf.

James Paick, director of ScribblePad Studios, has posted numerous images with the copyright for Double Helix Studios.  All of the images have a Blade Runner/Mass Effect vibe about them, heavily tying toward a possible action title.  I’m sure we’ll learn more about the game in the coming months, but a few questions remain: Which platforms will this game come to?  Is it a full fledged AAA title or smaller, Killer Instinct size game?  We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
