Free-to-Play Star Wars space combat game announced

Disney has announced a free-to-play Star Wars dog-fighting game called Attack Squadron.  Attack Squadron will feature 16 player online dogfights in three different modes, Free for All, Team Dogfight, and Base Defense.  According to the game’s official website, it will feature ship customization, rewards after each match and monthly updates of new ships, items and more.

The game seems to be in development by Area 52 games.  Who are Area 52 Games?  I have literally no idea.  There website gives next to no information on who they are, what titles (if any) they have previously worked on, or any major names at the studio.  To put it nicely, this lack of information worries me.  We’ll keep you updated as more news on the game comes out, but you can sign up for the beta right now.  Head over to to sign up.
