Warcraft movie delayed until 2016

The World of Warcraft movie has been delayed again.  The official Warcraft twitter account announced the shift of release date from December 18th, 2015 to March 11th, 2016.  No reason was given for the change, but I’m willing to guess that the change is due to Star Wars Episode VII’s release date is now December 18th, 2015 as well.  It would really be suicide for Warcraft, or any other male demographic film, to go against a movie like Star Wars.

The Warcraft film has been delayed multiple times ever since it was first announced.  Thankfully, it looks like the film is happening now, with director Duncan Jones speaking at Blizzcon, and actors like Colin Farrell (Phone Booth, Seven Psycopaths) and Travis Fimmel (Vikings) reportedly in talks for major roles.  If you need a Warcraft fix now, you’re in luck.  Blizzard is currently holding a sale on World of Warcraft and it’s expansion Mists of Pandaria for $4.99 and $9.99 respectively.
