Uncharted on PS4, exclusive Metal Gear content, The Last of US: Left Behind and more announced at the PS4 launch event!

On Thursday night, Sony and Spike TV held a launch event for the PlayStation 4.  Many PS4 announcements were made that night, but the first reveal was the story DLC for Naughty Dog’s incredibly The Last of Us.  The DLC will be a prequel to the events of the game, feature Ellie and an all new character, showing what adventures she faced before the events of The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog had one more reveal to make, and revealed that an all new Uncharted game is heading to PS4.  Who’s the protagonist?  When is set?  Where will we be globe trotting?  Naughty Dog told us nothing!  They only gave us the trailer below to decipher.

inFamous Second Son has be impressive every time it was shown, and the trailer Sucker Punch showed off was no expception.  One down side of this was the reveal that it has been delayed a month, and will now launch on March 21, 2014.

Towerfall has been long touted as the Ouya’s killer app, and it will now be heading to other platforms.  Sony announced that Towerfall Ascension will be coming to the PS4 in early 2014, promising new powerups, a co-op quest mode, and 50 new multiplayer levels.  This game is also coming to Steam right around the same time.

Hideo Kojima introduced a PlayStation 4 exclusive as well, with the exclusive “Déjà vu” mission pack for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zero.  Déjà vu “recreates a mission originally featured in the original METAL GEAR SOLID game AND lets users play as Solid Snake (in all of his low-polygon, pixelated glory) in the next-gen Ground Zeroes universe.”  It will be free for the Ground Zeros when it launches in Spring 2014.

Sony also revealed that Bungie upcoming title Destiny will launch it’s beta first on the PS4 and PS3.  The beta can be accessed by pre-ordering at select retailers.  No date was given, but Spring is the window.  Which of these announcement got you most excited?  Personally, I am so excited about a new Uncharted, but am terrified for one without Nathan Drake (if he’s somehow not the protagonist).
