Today, at the Batman Arkham Origins panel at New York Comic Con, game director Eric Holmes reveled that the Electrocutioner would be one of the assassin’s trying to kill Batman to collect the 50 million dollar ransom. Above is a picture of the Electrocutioner in the DC animated series Justice League Unlimited.
Lester Buchinsky took up the mantle of the Electrocutioner after his brother died, and went on to be a thorn in the side of many DC heroes, ranging from Batman to Nightwing and Green Arrow. In the pre-New 52 continuity, he was killed by Green Arrow’s apprentice Speedy. He has yet to appear in the New 52.
In Batman Arkham Origins, the Electrocutioner will be voiced by legendary voice actor Steven Blum, who has voiced thousands of other famous characters like Orochimaru (Naruto), Wolverine (Ultimate Spiderman, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and many more), Grunt (Mass Effect) and Ares (God of War). The Electrocutioner will join seven other assassins, including Deathstroke, Deadshot and Bane. Once Batman defeats the Electrocutioner, he will create the Shock Glove gadget, which allow you to immediately hurt enemies that you may have had to block or dodge before. Look for Batman: Arkham Origins on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25th.
