Xbox One’s first tv commercial showcases the NFL, Fantasy Football, and barely any games at all.

Warning: Smart aleck-ness and opinion all beyond this point.  These opinions are just mine.

I try to avoid being a smart aleck on this blog, but I feel as though it is warranted here.  The Xbox One which is, by almost everyone, considered primarily a video game console finally posted it’s first TV ad yesterday during the NFL’s first game.  This commercial touted all of Xbox’s amazing features like Kinect, Skype, NFL, Fantasy Football and games barely shown on the right hand side.

I understand that Microsoft wanted to tout the all new NFL features that the console offers, but at it’s core it’s still a game console.  It’s not as though their isn’t a major Football franchise out there that they could have shown.  Showing Madden would have made sense for their main “all in one” push for the console, or starting it out with a guy playing Forza and then immediately switching to the Football game.  Like I said, this is just my rant on it, as my opinion of Microsoft has been rising as of late.  I want to like them more, but they keep pushing me away with these poor choices for messaging.
