Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will all be free for Xbox Live Gold members in August

dead rising 2At E3, Microsoft announced their Games for Gold program, which would give Xbox Live Gold members free Xbox 360 games each month.  The first games available were Fable 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2.  Microsoft is continuing this tradition of big name games with their latest additions.

Starting tomorrow, gamers will be able to download Crackdown for free, according to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson.  This download will be available through August 15th.  On the 16th, Dead Rising 2, and Case Zero will both become available for free download.  These will then be available until the end of the month when, presumably, we will see all new games available for users.

Crackdown was released all the way back in 2007, and was met with solid reviews.  It places you in the role of a super cop, where you will leap, drive and punch your way to justice in Pacific City.  Dead Rising 2 and Case Zero are sequels to the original Dead Rising.  Released in 2010, DR2 follows Chuck Greene as he tries to find out the cause of a zombie outbreak at a Las Vegas Casino, as well as keep his infected daughter alive.  Both are stellar games and will make great additions to your Xbox 360 catalog.
