Microsoft has been touting it’s cloud for Xbox One ever since it’s announcement. Things have certainly been rough for the latest Xbox since then, but recent turnarounds are showing the benefits of Microsoft’s box, and the increased funding into Xbox Live.
In an article on The Examiner, Microsoft PR is quoted as saying “Xbox Live offers Xbox One unlimited storage space in the cloud for all Xbox Live members to store numerous types of Xbox Live content, including your profile, games, Achievements and entertainment. This content is stored and saved in the cloud so you can automatically access it anywhere, anytime, no matter where you are.”
This is a huge bonus for Xbox One buyers. This seems to also mean that this unlimited Cloud storage is available for all Xbox Live users, not just gold. Currently, the Redmond giant only offers 512mbs for Gold users only. The addition of this has a few draw backs, like saves not being available for those who are not connected to the internet and any possible server errors could corrupt your save, but overall it’s a fantastic step in the right direction.
