With today nearly in the books, Major Nelson has announced all the titles which will be on sale for the fourth of July. Where yesterday’s titles were a bit more family orientated, today’s have a distinctly hardcore gamer feel about them.
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for $9.99, 75% off
- Forza Horizon for $14.99, 63% off
- Left 4 Dead 2 for $9.99, 67% off
- The Orange Box for $4.99, 75% off
- Crysis 3 for $19.99, 67% off
Titles like Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins, and Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, are all still on sale at steep discount. To see all of them, take a look at yesterday’s deals article.
Recommendations: The Witcher 2 is a steal at nearly any price, you get nearly 100 hours of content, and it’s one of the best RPGs in recent memory. Forza Horizon is a great open world racing title. It’s an incredibly relaxing game, and has been one of my favorite games to play after a long day at work. Left 4 Dead 2 is the best zombie game to date, and the coop is incredibly fun. Working as a team is incredibly rewarding, plus if you wanna screw with your friends, just sprint ahead! The Orange Box has five of the best titles of the last 10 years, though it may be for the best to buy this one on Steam as TF2 is a far better game on PC. Crysis 3 is a mediocre shooter. I’m currently playing through it on my new high-end PC, and it’s cool to use to test my system, but I’ve never been that big of a fan of the series.
