We haven’t seen anything from the Wolfenstein franchise since the 2009 title developed by Raven Softworks. Thankfully, we are now getting a full-fledged sequel to Wolfenstein 3D in the form of Wolfenstein: The New Order. This new title is being developed by Machine Games, founded by former heads of Starbreeze Studios (The developers of Chronicles of Riddick games and The Darkness) and will be published by Bethesda. I’m all for going after Nazi’s once again, since we seem to have all but abandoned this enemy in recent many recent games. The title looks quite unique though and we’ll have a full review when it launches on the Xbox One and PS4. No release date is currently given, though the game will be shown at Sony’s E3 press conference, so expect more information then.
