New Xbox to be revealed on May 21st at Noon central time!

Major Nelson recently confirmed on his blog that the next Xbox would be shown on May 21st.  This has been a previously rumored date for quite some time.  The full text from the website can be read here or below:

“On Tuesday May 21st, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. On that day, we’ll be holding a special press event on the Xbox campus and we invite you to join us via the live global stream that will be available on, Xbox LIVE and broadcast on Spike TV if you are in the US or Canada.

On that day, we’ll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we’ll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.

We are thrilled to pull back the curtain and reveal what we’ve been working on.

A New Generation Revealed
Xbox Campus, Redmond WA
Tuesday, May 21st @ 1p ET/10a PT/17:00 GMT”

It looks like Microsoft will try to put a lot of their marketing push in towards E3 as well as at there event.  It is a bold strategy for them, which I can see paying off.  One thing to note is that they said they will show off their full lineup at E3, meaning they may only show one or two big monster games for it (My money is on the next Call of Duty title and possibly Forza 5).  Another thing to note is it is at Noon here in the US, and in Japan it is at 2am.  Maybe Microsoft really has given up on the Japaneses audience.  That is speculation for another day though.  Keep it locked here for more information as it is announced on the Next Generation Xbox.
